How to use the Paint Calculator
- Fill in the measurements in the top table.
- If you know the paint coverage of the paint you are using add it in (if unsure leave blank).
- Press the calculate button.

On average, a litre of paint will cover approximately 14-16 square metres. However this can vary between brands of paint. If the paint you are using specifies the amount of coverage you should get (check the label), replace the Paint Coverage number above.

The amount of coverage you will get will depend on the type of surface you are painting. While the above results can be used as a guide for smooth walls, you will need to add 20% more if you are painting rough, porous or previously unpainted walls. Note: The results shown are for one coat only.
